I bought my Rogue SV 2011 and the sale guy gave me this cable, which I don't know if he gave it to me by mistake or if he gave me the wrong cable because the SV option already has a USB port where I can hook up my iPhone. I tried to find any other place in the car to see I can hook this cable up, but I don't see any. Does any one have any idea?

On the bag, it states
HARN-AUX Audio System
Nissan 284H2 - 1BA0B

Is this a cable for a S model???? It's so confusing

You can run anything you want throw aux cable. For example you can connect computer throw aux port and listen internet radio right in the car from your speakers etc. Of course you can use ipod/iphone with that cable too but it is not necessarily if it's working throw usb.

It's one of these:

One end presumably connects to the back of the radio, while the other end is the typical iPod plug.

You obviously don't need it as you have a USB plug in the console already.

Rogue SV don't have an outlet for that.
He must of gave it to you by Mistake, must of mistaken the Rogue for a Murano cause our LE Murano has that.
Just sell it or something could make like 10 bucks off that lol.

I don't know since I haven't seen the connectors of the new navy yet but people from infiniti forums are using this cable in their navy units such '09-10 g35/fx35 so if your unit support this cable then you could leave this usb port for something else like pen-drive.
P.S. My fault that I didn't check the numbers of the cable in the beginning but as soon as I saw AUX name I thought conversation was about 3.5 jack cable

Thanks guys! These Nissan sell people have no idea what they are doing. I was hoping I could connect this cable some where else and save the USB for another device as well.

Btw, does anyone know if I connect an USB hub to this USB port, and the Hub connects to multiple USB mp3 players. Will the car detect them all? :) If you have an USB hub, would you mind to try this out, please? :)

Depends, if the player shows up as a mass storage device (like a USB memory stick) it might work. Give it a shot.

I have a number of mp3 players that I have tried...All work fine. I just don't have any USB hub to connect them all to the USB port and see if the machine detects all....

I think you guys don't understand what I mean yet...but it's ok...

He wants to connect a USB hub(where you can attach multiple USB devices) to the USB port in the center console so he can use more than one Mp3 player
So you want to use 4 mp3 players at once or do you mean connect 4 flash drives/storage devices?

doubt it would work with the mp3 players

Harryg understands me

Yeah I want to connect all my 4 mp3 players and play them all. I wonder if the software in the Bose allows me to do that. If not, it's sux. I wish Bose gives me an opportunity to program their app.

It's not going to work. It's like on your computer if you connect more than 1 usb device than you will have to open 1 window per device and you can not combine them. I doubt if you will have a choice of using one. Also I don't know about oem navy but my avic-x930 freezes up on my friend's iphone 4g since and doesn't recognize my android (galaxy s2) when I try to use it as mass storage device. Again...this is not a computer but mobile limited headunit so there's not much you can do with it.

SV models don't have bose, That would be sweet but they don't.
Bose is just speakers, Speakers don't control what Device it takes.

Thanks for the correction, TaiLuu.

Whatever the device it is, I wish I have the ability to program it.

I am not going to combine them. If it detects all my devices and allows me to select one by one to play using the AUX button, I would be more than happy.
