Nissan hardbody transmissions

Does anyone know the difference between a 88-95 hardbody 5 speed transmission and a 96-97 hardbody 5 speed transmission?

2wd or 4wd? v6 or 4cylinder?

2wd, Is there a difference between V6 and 4 cylinder.

I'll just let you know what im doing. I have a Z31 and I'm doing a RB20 200ZR replica, i found out the hardbody's have a short 71C and thats the transmission I need. I cant use the Z31 71C way too long (extends past the shifter hole) so the hard body trans fits the bill but I don't know if how to tell the difference between the 4 cylinder KA hardbody trans or the v6 trans.

Any help? tips? advice?

Yes there are differences between v6 and 4 cylinder. The v6 trans is the same as the z31 z cars trans.
