Realistically, if an L series can be made to produce 100whp/L and still be streatable, I don't see a reason that a VH couldn't do the same or better. The issue though is that there really is no aftermarket for the VH engine itself. Some minor cam regrinds, but that basically is it. You'd have to go WAY beyond that with cams, probably need some serious head and exhaust work done, ITBs, etc, before you could hit 100whp/L. If I don't end up going with a SCed VH/VK, I'll go the high horse NA route, but a HUGE amount of that work is going to be custom to my engine, application, and chassis.
That being said, a 500whp VH or VK wouldn't be "streetable" in the sense of retaining most of the qualities of a luxury sedan. That being said, if you are building it to have fun driving in a light chassis, then it should be fine.
