But it comes to a time when everything gets outdated...including the RB. Yeah, the RB is a great motor, but it's outdated. And don't forget, the RB isn't the only bad-*** skyline motor. Remember the FJ? I'm sure when they went from the FJ to RB you had a bunch of people knocking the "new engine" as well.ClubSX wrote:Wish they would keep it in the RB Series. You cant just do that. Its like telling jesda he has to get new pants

I mean, if Jesda were still wearing bell-bottoms, would you be mad that he wanted to switch to khaki's? IMO, it wouldn't matter, because they would still be Jesda's pants, just a newer style.
simply speechless that was just brilliantEZcheese15 wrote:I mean, if Jesda were still wearing bell-bottoms, would you be mad that he wanted to switch to khaki's? IMO, it wouldn't matter, because they would still be Jesda's pants, just a newer style.

The way I see it, The Nissan badge has HISTORY, and the GT-R badge has an even larger history (GT-R badges on anything from an accent to a probe). Nissan is keeping that history together rather than breaking it apart. Also, I think that they're not bringing the GT-R to the US to sell 5 million of them, it's more of a present to the loyal customers and millions of fans of the GT-R who try to bring them in, wish they had one etc. This is more of a move from in the past, where car companies brought out performance cars to make the rest of the lineup look better and to give the serious enthusiast what they want. They might only sell a thousand or so in the first year, but there will be the poeple who buy the closest model.nnkfws333 wrote:How does the Skyline fit into the Nissan lineup rather then the NSX into Honda? They are both super cars with a price tag Im sure gonna be 50-70k. Just because it was badged as a Nissan over in Japan but so was the NSX badged as a Honda.
First of all its not a new skyline, lets clarify that, its the nissan GT-R. Also I would rather buy a GT-R from nissan. When I think of infiniti i think luxurious. Can you imagine an infiniti 240sx. It just wouldnt work. Im glad it will be a raw and powerful nissan, not a wood grain all leather 4500 lb luxurious infinitinnkfws333 wrote:How does the Skyline fit into the Nissan lineup rather then the NSX into Honda? I guess most people wouldn't feel anything if they bought a 50-70k car car under the Nissan name but if you put it under the Infiniti name people would. Also thats a big price gap from 30k for a Z33 to a GTR for 70k thats no comparison at all.
I know if Nissan had 350Z that was exactly and I mean exactly like the Infiniti G35, people would buy the G35 just because people associate Infiniti as a Nissan but better just like Lexus is Toyota but better.
Yeah VW is retarded like that and I have never seen a Phaeton in real life.
car won't look like that. i guarantee it.EZcheese15 wrote:Pics have been floating around since October. We even have a NICO website dedicated to the GTR
