Hey! I was wondering if anyone had some towing specs and bed sizes for a 1998 Frontier 4x4, 4 cyl, 5 speed.

I am trying to transport an MGB carcass (no running gear or interior) that weighs probably 1000 lbs.

Do you think I could just tie the body down in the bed of the truck? or should I tow it? If I tow it, I can attach a rear suspension to the body, but the brakes won't be working.

Is the Frontier rated for this kind of thing? Any help would be great. It's either this truck or my mom's Grand Cherokee...

Baco, I'm surprised that nobody has come up with an answer yet.

Perhaps you've already completed the transport, but I figure it's never too late to look over some numbers...

I'm not sure about the Frontier, but I know a guy who tows his John Deere tractor around with a 4 cyl. hardbody. The same tractor burned the transmission out of an F-150 4x4.

thats not saying much considering the vehicle your talking about. american transmissions have proven themselves to not be bullit proof.
