Welcome to NICO!

Have you recharged the system with refrigerant (134a)?

A quick rundown of the conditions that have to be met before the ECU will send the "on" signal to the compressor.

- Dash switch set to on or defroster selected
- Dual pressure switch (on liquid tank/dryer) must not read too low or too high
- Temperature sensor on evaporator coil must not read too low (no freeze up condition)
- Temperature overheat sensor on compressor must not be open (result of compressor overheating)

You can read more about your a/c system in the factory service manual (FSM) at www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

When I replaced the evaporator on my Hardbody, I had trouble getting new refrigerant to flow into the system to get the pressure above the floor required by the dual pressure switch. I had to remove the compressor relay and short it out to get it to come on and pull in the refrigerant.
