Yeah (use TugZip if you don't have a free extractor), but I don't know if it installed as I seem to have a link to my original installation on the FAST menu.

The default installation folder was C:\Nissan\ There is a setup.exe file in one of the subfolders he may need to run. I will mess with it next week to see if it is indeed running or if I am on the old one still.

Sorry to resuscitate an old thread, but will the latest version of FAST work with Vista? I got the one from phatg20.

When everyone gets the installation issues worked out I'd like to talk about how to use the Dang thing.

I couldn't get it to work with the version of vista that came with my notebook.(Actually it was one of the biggest reasons I installed XP and deleted Vista)

Dammit. I'm downloading it onto my Vista notebook as I'm typing. Oh well. I'll just move it to my other notebook via external HD.

Or upgrade your laptop to XP.

Yes, but I had HeavyDuty's disk first.

I now have the 11/2007 fast. If you want it, send a buck and I'll send anyone a copy.

XP is technically a downgrade to Vista (Plenty beg to differ, but I'm adjusting to Vista quite well.). I have XP on one notebook and Vista on the other. Gotta appreciate OEM.

Vista was slower than snail snot on a hot day in the middle of the Mojave running on my DV6000, but XP just zooms right on like greased lightning.

I am running Windows XP Pro and using an original copy of the Canadian FAST. It works fine, but does not have any US-specific model parts like active parts etc... (Active Q45s were not offered in Canada)

True. I'm running Vista on an Acer Aspire 3680. I bought it for $399 on sale. The sole intention was to have a smaller notebook to take to class. My Travelmate 4010 is a monster. I find that a RAM upgrade to 2-4 GB will put a little pep in it. I hated this notebook forever (Vista Aspire) but recently, I've discovered that it can be oretty good. I started using it as a backup notebook for my music production and it's performed quite well.
