Ever want to look up Z (or other Nissan) parts on your own, or maybe see the exploded view of portions of the car?

Well, wait no longer. This is the same program as the Nissan parts desk uses. It's a little clumsy and looks like someone back in the Windows 3.1 era designed it, but it's darn nice to find the parts you need and have part numbers to order by.

This is the <800 meg version of just US vehicles

Once you download and un-rar the files, burn the .iso to a CD. There is an installer in there as well once that's done. You need to make one folder right in the root of C: called NISSAN where it installs to.Then run the installer and you are ready. The CD needs to be in the drive to use it as all the Nissan parts information is on the disc, not on the PC. Only the program is on the computer when you are done so it doesn't take up much HD space.

Enjoy!

Nice. I'll have to burn that to my "mule" laptop that I use for diagnostics and tuning. Trying to make an infield all purpouse diagnostic tool.

Currently on it - 90-96 300zx online FSMNprobe diagnostic softwareConsult diagnostic softwareZemulator software

BTW - any other recommended downloadable/loadable Nissan "must have" software that I am unaware.

Yup, that's the way. I scored an old PIII-1 gig that I keep my Zem program, tune files, and all Z related info on. Much easier than taking a paper book to the garage.

Will this run with Windows XP?

I downloaded to a disc and was able to install to the c:NISSAN drive, none of the documents open though.

Thanks in advance.

Yes. In that NISSAN file on your HD there is one called Fastwin.exe which the icon is black and has a yellow FAST word on it. Leave the cd in the drive when you use it. Click the FAST icon and it should launch.Make a shortcut with this to your desktop so you don't have to go the the NISSAN folder every time.

yeah, this is the same way I used to use fast when I worked in parts, now that Im over at the bodyshop their system has changed to something else (something harder to use). Gotta love that backwards innovation.

When you view all the files on the cd, there will be a folder.

Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the folder because i'm at work and can't look at it (helps alot, I know).

Try a few of the folders, within it there will be a .txt file containing instructions on how to install.

Basically there is a folder (within the folder you find the installation instructions) named win2000 or something. There is an installer in it.

Maybe someone can look up the exact name of the file and report here if they have access to the files.

There is a folder on your cd after you burned it called "FASTPRG" open that and you will see "WIN2000" and in there a folder called "SETUP". Setup install is in there

I was also going to mention, if you sign up on that site there are lots of good downloads other than FAST too

Did you set up a folder right in the C drive named NISSAN ? It should have installed a ton of files in that folder. If it doesn't work, I don't know, because it works on mine

Normally you just double-click the iso file and it launches and burns the CD. If you found the setup file on the CD after it was burned, it worked. Not sure why it won't run for you.

Not using FAST for some time. It has too tangled user-interface. I use this online catalog at the moment: http://nissan4u.com/parts/Just FYI
