I need help from the Nissan Gurus of NICO..... This is the "city light" socket from a headlight on a 1998 Nissan Terrano Regulus (JDM model).

Unfortunately, the US version of this truck (Infiniti QX4) did not have city lights. The lamps came from Japan without the wiring harness for the city lights DOES ANYBODY RECOGNIZE THIS PLUG FROM THEIR CAR???

I will paypal $20 USD to the first person who can find the part number for the plug that goes into this, or if you can correctly tell me which other Nissans might share the same connector.

I need the plug that goes into this:

KOITO

THANKS!!!

unfortunately you usually cant buy just connectors from nissan, except in the rare cases like MAF and injector connectors.

Honestly you'd be better off using butt connectors, ive never seen that kind of connector on a Q.

thats the answer i was afraid of. When ya spend 4 digits on some rare lights, the last thing you wanna do is hack away at the sockets to get access to the prongs. LOL

See the thing I think you could do is make some other connector work. as long as it fits the general profile (which looks similar) and the pin spacing is the same, then it should work... Those extra little ribs on the side are to make sure some idiot doesnt plug the wrong plug into the wrong socket...

I seem to recall on my car that the plugs for the stop lamp on the brake pedal are similar..

tell you what, you give me some approximate dimensions of the sides and i'll see if anything on my car looks similar, i have a bunch of extra plugs I'm not using after my 5 speed swap that look kinda similar.

Also, another idea for you to do at home.. Grab your FSM and go to the EL section. on the wiring diagrams it gives connectors with approximate shapes, like if they're square, roundish, and how many pins they have

Pick some easy to get to ones and compare!

Did you check the service manual because its lists a lot of the connectors on your vehicle...

jesus, 4 digits on some lights with no harness?

You JDM SUV guys are way worse than anything Ive had to deal with...

good luck bro...I know a guy over there that could put out an APB on one, but it isnt gonna be super cheap...He found a couple of obscure parts for my Y32 over there...shipping takes a while too, but maybe not on a plug though.

let me know exactly what you need and Ill put in the word if you want...itd be worth a shot just in case you cant find anything else to work....just sayin

almost looks like you could use a speed sensor plug from an s13 or s14 manual transmission if you shave down the alignment slots on the plug to make it fit. same amount of pins as well too. try that and see if it works.

I didn't the entire first post. But like Wes was saying there is no plug like that on USDM Q45. But JDM, CDM, USDM....all share the SAME plugs. So I bet there is a plug like that on your car, Just go to the junkyard and search for it.
