Does anyone know if the large Nissan emblem on the rear dek lid has drilled assembly guide holes with doubleback tape holding it on, or are there no holes drilled into the hatchback lid? I know I can take off the "Versa" lettering without any problems to cleanup the rear decklid, but I'm not sure about that large round Nissan emblem. If I remember correctly, my 2004 350Z had guide holes, but the smaller wheel cap Nissan emblem covered the hole strategically so there were no water leaks or visual sight of the two holes it had. So, I put the smaller emblem on and it cleaned up the rear deck very well.

Thanks...

Any specifics on removal, other than be careful?

What about clean up? Did you have to polish afterwards or just rub it clean with alchohol or something? Floss is a great idea, thanks.

They make adhesive removers, I'd recommend those. But rubbing alcohol would work too.

I used Goo Gone....the Nissan emblem has a bit more adhesive on it and will take a bit to get it all off but well worth it

With Goo Gone, be VERY careful to make sure you have cleaned all residue off the surface. It will eat your paint if you leave residue on there.

Thanks for the advice. I tried hooking up with you on the cardomain site, but could not get thru. Are thos first black wheels painted or powdercoated OEM Versa wheels?

I took my S emblem off with my fingers and then used my fingers to rub off the excess glue that was left over. It took a few seconds to take off the emblem and then another 15-20 mins of rubbing because my fingers would get to hot and didnt want to burn them. At one point I didn't know if I was taking the glue off or just my skin...but after a while I finally got all the glue off.

Just finished taking everything off the back hatch. Wasn't too bad at all. The dental floss worked great. I took about 45 minutes total, but well worth it like you said. I used glass cleaner and a micro-fiber cloth to get the glue off. Thanks again for the help.

I swear... we do this thread every 4 months...

I like UnDu. don't have to worry about the residue, and if you're careful you can reuse the emblem (in case you just want to relocate it...)
