nissan dealership?

is it worth taking my 240 with an sr20det to nissan? would they know how to fix it? or should i drive it even further to a shop that has exp. with sr20's?

It really depends on what is wrong with it. If if it something general-engine related the nissan dealership can probably handle it. If it is something SR specific, you should take it somewhere that has experience with SRs. Besides, it is always a good thing to have a relationship with your local SR supporting shops in case you need help, parts, etc..

i asked the dealership that when i went down there to pick up a belt for my powersteering. they don't have any information on the SR and they can not even order parts.

the answer is no. hell no. the dealership should only handle things on your car from now on (like if your window motor goes out). they should NOT touch your car that has an engine that most likely none of them have ever seen.
