Dealerships are known for shiz like that. At least GM seems to do that alot. I called the dealer about an engine check light. After giving them the vin (which told them that I was still under warranty) they told me it is just an exhaust sensor and to just contunue driving. Ok, the engine is running rough, how the fook do you know what is wrong without even looking at it. Turned out one of the injectors was clogged, I wouldev been pinging that cylinder all over the place to continue drivin on it.
A previous vehicle (Buick LeSabre)which was near the end of its factory warranty was giving off a grinding/snapping noise when turned hard. They did an alignment and played with it to minimise the noise. How did I know, I don't normally drive FWD. Once the warranty was gone, it turned out that the CV joints were shot and this was a typical failure of that year and model. Me=shiz outa luck.
