Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has had experience with the software or better?and if this is compatible with other ECUs like the Power FC. Is there any other software out there that is better and plug and play like this one?, that lets you view and control so much?

But aren't there better programs that do the same for the Power FC?

I don't get what your asking about? Are you looking for software to tune the PFC with? Or are you looking for ROM tunning software to hack the stock ecu?

sorry for not being clear. But basically I'm looking for the best way to control and view whats going on under the hood. I was planning on using a program like the "nissan data scan" while I had the stock ECU But eventually wanted to upgrade to the Power Fc, later this year. So in your oppinion whats the best method to do that? I'm not dying for complete control ability right now.

That software is just used to monitor the sensors. If you want to change stuff like MAF's, injector size you will need a Emange or a chiped ecu with a eprom burner but since your going to a PFC you just save your money and buy that.

^^^^ what he said.

Consult was designed to diagnose problems. The "control" features you mentioned are there to help diagnose problems, not tune your ECU. Also, with Consult, you lose all changes you made everytime you turn the ignition off. However, Consult would definitely be useful when tuning your engine since it gives you injector duty, mass air flow, timing, in some cases EGT, and lots and lots of other good information.

To actually change the way the ECU runs your engine, you'll need a piggyback, an EPROM, or another engine management system.

While we are talking about ECU hacks on nissans...Can someone post some links for info on hacking the R32 ECM's for larger injectors and maf(s)?

I figured that how it work. But Ive heard the Power FC doesn't have a direct PC link. So if this is true is there a hack software and connection device that allows you to view and change the settings on the PFC without using the commander? I follow the guy that was designing that new software on Honda-Tech that Jon P showed me but no one can track him down?!?

I have the R32 EPROM file and some romeditor I have never used here: http://netfiles.uiuc.edu/dstaffor/www/romedit/

Nick has done both MAF and injectors, so he can tell you what works.
