I rather like it! And for what they cost in Japan (~$10,900) I'd own one in a heartbeat for that kind of cash!

Granted this one has Watanabe's on it, but I still like the styling. It's like a 510 blended with a Xterra.

Rumour has it Nissan might be bringing it over to compete against the Scion.

As a daily driver I'd totally roll in a cube. I've always liked the super-compact Japanese cars, this one being no exception. They're great on gas, fun to drive, and I think they look cool, being that they're anti-aerodynamic. :)

Normally I respect your opinion Alan...but that things dog ugly! Looks like a Scion to me, and lord knows I hate Scions (mostly the xB, but also the Xa a bit). I dont understand the concept of making an extremely small, un-aerodynamic, underpowered vehicle that looks SUV like but can barely handle speed bumps. The gas mileage cant even be THAT fantastic, look at the design of the car, its a "cube." It's going to be extremely affected by wind, I would hate to drive that thing across eastern Colorado in a heavy cross-wind, its liable to blow right the **** off the road! It must be pretty light, which just makes things worse. Personally, I much prefer the .31 drag coefficient of my 240 ;)

That reminds me of the Toyota Scions and i hate the scions. I just don't like that mini SUV look...kinda reminds me of the Honda Element too

*EDIT*

the brake lights are too low, safety hazard!!! we're not looking down when we're driving. usually out the side window looking at hot chicks.

Ok... Honestly, I can see the appeal, but I would never buy one.

Another thing to consider, are 5mph bumpers. I think the Japanese bbx's are way better looking, just because the front bumper does not protrude like an Underbit chin.

Your pic -the window crap-the flares-cheap looking tailights-ugly stock grill= Nice car.

That would only be a once in while cruiser. Definately not a daily driver. That is if I could fit in that thing.

i have no idea why the box look is becoming so popular (element, scion....cube?!?!) I just don't see anything to it. Maybe its just because i drove an '85 caprice for 3 years when i first got my liceance and i hated the way it looked...boxy.

I've seen these car styles in japanese official sites for the past 2 years, so the idea is nothing new, however bringing that crap over here is.

A few design changes and it would be alright....raise the rear lights, shorten the back end, and raise the whole thing up a bit. I don't like it as it is, but it has potential. I don't like Scions but I DO like the Honda Element. The cube would have to be great on gas to make it really worth it, even a hybrid would be kewl.
