Nissan Cube Reliability -

TrueDelta reports absolute repair rates that make the differences between cars much clearer. Results are updated four times a year, to report on new models quickly and track cars closely as they age.

Thanks to the much-appreciated help of NICOClub, we're already providing results for mosts Nissan and Infiniti owners, and would love to have the first reliability stats anywhere for the cube. Just a matter of getting enough owners signed up.

We've had a very strong response from Kia Soul owners, so we'll have initial results for it in August.

Participants simply report repairs the month after they occur on a one-page survey. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, at the end of each quarter.

To encourage participation, participants receive full access to all results, not just those for the cube, free of charge.

Just received a tip that it was not possible to enroll a cube on the site. Turned out that I had the earliest valid model year set to 2010, because when I first listed the cube I thought it would be a 2010.

This has been corrected, so it's now possible to enroll your cube...

Thanks, AZHitman. Awesome forum, and it's great to see a cube community coming alive here.

I'd like to have some initial results for the cube in November, but this will require a few dozen more participants ASAP.

Do enough people already have their cube?

Hey mkaresh, I just bought a new Cube SL on Sunday. I love your project, and wanted to take part. When I followed your link and registered, this came to my e-mail. "The 2009 cube is not yet included in the Car Reliability Survey."

My is so new that I haven't have time to wax it yet. But I will give you all the details over time. Is there a link for a log-on page that I can use with my user id #?

I might include the cube in the survey next month. Depends on whether or not a few more owners sign up.

You'll find a log in anywhere this is necessary to access information. Or, to got to a page with direct links to all surveys, click on the "My Garage" button in the header.

I've added the cube, but we'll need more participants to provide reliability stats.

13 cube owners now signed up, vs. 97 for the Kia Soul. Is the Soul selling much better?

We'll send out the next email for the survey around the 23rd.

That's for the main reliability survey. There are others on the site you can participate in right now.

23 cube owners now signed up. Better than before, but still not enough for a full result.

And now 29 owners signed up. With 40+ we'd probably have a full result in February.

So, how soon can we get to 40?

Still a few owners short of 40, and we're entering the last month of the survey before that February result.

Help get us there:

With a week to go in this quarter's survey, we're four responses short of the minimum for a full result.

If you've already signed up and have been receiving the emails for the survey, but haven't responded, please do.

I activate newly enrolled cars into the main survey near the beginning of each month. You'll receive an email with links to that survey early next month.

Good news--we received just enough responses to this survey to have a full result for the cube next month. I didn't think we'd get there this round, but we did!

Thanks, I appreciate it.

We've updated the results for the Nissan cube to include owner experiences through December 31, 2009. With a reported repair rate of 12 repair trips per 100 cars per year, the 2009-2010 cube is better than average.

We'll have further updates in May and August. The more owners participate, the better the information we can provide.

Just enhanced the related repair history survey so that it can (optionally) be used as a personal car maintenance record.

As always, more participants would be helpful. Updated Car Reliability Survey results in May, with a preview for participants next month.

50 2009s now signed up, but only 15 2010s.

Especially need more of the latter.

We've updated the results for the Nissan cube to include owner experiences through June 30, 2010.

Other sources of car reliability information won't cover the more recent months until the summer or even fall of next year.

With a reported repair frequency of 16 repair trips per 100 cars per year, the 2009-2010 cube is better than average.

Thank you, once again, to this forum and everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in November and February. The more owners participate, the better the information we can provide.
