Surprising. That interior looks 1000x better than any 1990s mainstream car I've ever seen. The reason for the bench seats isn't to remind you of the glory of the 1990s. The Cube's purpose is maximum utility without giving up the "fun" factor (the Nissan brand ethos, if you haven't noticed). It's a fun, economical, people mover.
