Hello-

Originally my Nissan Connect was working. Now when I go to use my "apps" it states that my account is expired- When I log into the owner portal it states my account expires as it should April of 2017. Is anyone else getting this error?

I really hope Nissan gets their act together on their software- Its a big let down, and if they think anyone is going to pay actual money to use Nissan Connect apps they are crazy!!!!

i'm having the same issue. I haven't been able to fix it. It started happening when the new update came out for the iphone app. I called nissan they sent me some steps to fix and no luck. it is not a big issue but at least i know that it is no happening to only to me.

The good thing is that Pandora is not out yet for the iphone so i guess that i can wait till nissan finds out what is going on with their systems.

I got this error before (actually I think I've had every Nissan connect error possible at this point).

It happened when I tried to use an app in an area where I had bad cell signal. Then all the apps gave me the same error.

I fixed it by rebooting my phone and turning Bluetooth on the car off and then back on.

Hello Everyone,

i received a call yesterday from a NissanConnect representative. He said that the issued is well know among Iphone users and that they are working to get it resolve.

At least we know that they are aware of the issues.

Good to know Ivan, you just saved me a call to Nissan Connect. Hopefully they can resolve the issue soon- My XM radio expires in a month and I would like to be able to use my iheart radio. :/

New update I received an e-mail from Nissan saying that a new update for the app that solves the problem will be released any time soon. They are just waiting for Apple to publish it.

FYI,

New APP update has been released. As per Nissan Representative directions the old app must be erased from the phone and download the new one. I did this and it solve the issue the apps are back on the radio and working fine.

Still no Pandora for Iphone users on Rogue. At least the fixed the issue.

plug your iphone in via the USB port and you should be able to do pandora via Bluetooth steaming other than that you wont be able to use the pandora app on the radio ever. Apple has locked down some of the bluethooth components needed for it to work. its the cost of having a over-rated iphone (good phones but alot hype over nothing), glad i got rid of mine. on their site, iphone users have to be plugged in via USB for it to work. some info directly from the site "http://www.nissanusa.com/connect/faq"

"Why does my iphone need to be connected via USB to my vehicle in order to use NissanConnect Apps?"

Apple's operating system doesn't support the full range of Bluetooth® connectivity. This isn't unique to Nissan. [*][/i]

"Is my iphone required to be physically connected to the vehicle to utilize all NissanConnect features?"

It will need to be connected via USB cable to play music stored on your device. [*] Additionally, if your NissanConnectSM system is equipped with navigation, your iPhone® must be tethered to download and use NissanConnectSM in your vehicle.[/i]

In case anyone is wondering what happens when the app subscription expires (mine does in March 2017), here is what customer support sent me:
I do apologize for the inconvenience; at the moment the apps are free but Nissan has not implemented a way to extend the trial manually. You can contact us by E-Mail, Chat, or Phone on the day or after the day that the trial ends and we can add more time on there for you. Until the web developers implement a button or some other way of allowing customers to do this themselves, we will need to be the ones to do it.
Knowing is half the battle...

So having used the search feature, not wanting to duplicate an extant thread, I am wondering.... has anyone with a 2014 (or newer) Rogue with Nissan Connect had the service stop working after 36 months? I had thought the Nissan Connect "trial" was for 36 months and was curious if the apps stop functioning after that time?

Next month will have had my vehicle for 3 years (but only have just hit the 12k mark :naughty: )

I've never been impressed with the iteration of Nissan Connect in my vehicle, I feel the features were, for the most part, lacking and the functionality rather crappy. I would never pay for such buggy, deficient software via a subscription.

Most of the things I do with the SATNAV radio are done via Bluetooth and I use the iPhone to stream Pandora. Traffic and Weather alerts come thru my subscription to SiriusXM's Infotainment, so there's really no benefit to my having the Nissan Connect.
