My previous 2016 Rogue SL used "Nissan Connect" while this new 2018 Rogue SL uses "Android Auto". When I try to use the Nissan Connect Android app it never connects.

Now unless I am misunderstanding something here, the previous Nissan Connect should no longer work in this new car. If so, I would need to use the "AndroidAuto" app ... right?

I don't like Android Auto but unless I misunderstood something, My Nissan Connect app won't work. I liked the monthly "health reports" and the other features of Nissan Connect which I lose using Android Auto.

UPDATE - OK, Nissan didn't tell me that I had to install the "new" Nissan Connect app. They kept on telling me to install the app, guided me to be sure, BUT it was always the old app. This is because old one keeps on popping up in my Google Store searches so this time I ignored it and looked further. I found what is the "new" version (although very poor reviews an less than 2.5).

Too bad the CSRs at Nissan Connect did not ask me which version I was installing and using, or even advised me to get the right one (sigh).

I will try it out and see if I will just be another user to offer a bad review ... or maybe a good one. Who knows?
