Nissan co developed the first AC system that purifies incoming air?

I read an article yesterday that said Nissan along with another company (all I can think of is samsung, although they are korean, so I doubt this is the right company) developed an HVAC system for cars, that can purify incoming air..

The article was from 2003.. Neet though..

I wonder if it's made it to any of their cars yet?

So did I. This was co developed with nissan and some japanese home appliance maker.. I think it's much more then a filter.. Kind of like a ionic breeze for the car...
