Nissan cima v8 Nav cd help

hey guys - I have recently aquired a nissan cima 1997 with a vh41 v8 , GT Vip edition.

I was wondering if anyone knows where to purchase NAV Maps for New Zealand?

In the US, it was only available for 1 year (2001) and there were about 5 CD, only updated once.

Since it was not imported to Australia, I bet there are no NZ CD, and certainly no current ones.

Might look at an after market unit like the Pioneer AVIC-Z3 with an adapter for the head unit.

If that's true then you can sell it for a pretty penny and get a car that has a working navigation system in NZ.

ok thanks for the info guys - Yes it is true GT VIP edition. I picked it up for 6000NZD which is around 3200 USD

Good buy. We tend to avoid the early FY33 CD-ROM NAV units because they are basically obsolete, rather like the in car phone adapters.

mine still has the in car phone though!! lol... Although I do not know how to turn it on.... Is there a Nav system I can replace it with which is atleast in english?

Look at the Pioneer ones available in the US.
