Agreed. Barring Infiniti coming up with something spectacular, I don't see myself buying another one. I'll likely go either BMW 7 or Lexus LS.Ilya wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 6:56 pmThe weird thing is, those were options (at least the rear console with controls + reclining rear seats) on the Y50. They removed that + the tilting head rests (front), extendable sun visors, etc. from the Y51 (period, they don't exist). Like, who takes options AWAY when making a new car?
The current gen Y51 (latest with the nice front and rear) is probably the last M I'll own when it's time to get rid of my '11. I hear they are going to go mostly electric going forward...if that happens, Nissan/Infiniti will lose me as a customer.
BMW maintenance can be pricey, but they have maintenance packages you can buy along with their extended warranties. My wife has had 2 CPO X5s, both with the maintenance package. She hasn't had to pay for anything extra, not even wiper blades. They certainly don't have as long a life as Lexus, but they are better now than they were 5 years ago.
My next car will probably be a '19 or '20 Q70 (my 3rd M) as I'm still 3-4 years out (hopefully) of my M56x being too old to keep going. I plan to keep my '11 as long as it's feasible...I only have a couple of thousand left to pay it off so even if I have to sync $2k a year into it to keep it going that's better than $500/12 per year. But if I wasn't gettin another M later, I'd be in the market for a used LS or an A6/A8.Big_Tone wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:10 pmAgreed. The Q70 will be gone in a year or two. i think they said that late 2020 is when the replacement model comes out. It won't really be a replacement but the Infiniti Q80 will replace it "and it looks amazing!!!". it won't be near the price of a new M37/Q70 since this model will be close to a starting 90k+
I think infiniti is working on a direct q70 replacement I doubt that they would choose to give up the midsize sedan market. They might be working on a full size sedan competitor but probably alongside the q70 replacement.JCesar wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 10:42 amThe Q70 will be gone in a year or two. i think they said that late 2020 is when the replacement model comes out.
