Hi, I recently purchased a 1991 Nissan Cefiro RB20det that I got from a government auction after the car had been impounded. A couple weeks after driving the car I noticed while it is warmed up it likes to idle low, around 600rpm and will even stall out when in neutral sometimes. But it seems its been getting worse. I've been having problems where the car will loose power when I am accelerating. The rpms will just stay the same or bounce up and down a little bit while I am trying to accelerate and the whole car will start jerking as though maybe its not getting fuel or the power is shutting off or something. While its doing this and i put it in neutral the rpms will bounce between 0-1000 and it will stall out, however it doesn't have a problem starting right back up. This doesn't happen all the time and usually it doesn't last long maybe 10 minutes or so. If it is longer and I park and come out the next day it will be fine and might not do it again for a day or so. Yesterday I experienced something similar where I was driving home on the highway and all of the sudden the electronics seemed to shut off for a second or so, the rpms dropped for a second and then the battery light, abs light, and my brake light indicator all came on and stayed on. When I arrived home my car was idling rough and wanted to stall out with the lights/electronics on. When I turned off the lights it was idled fine and then once I turned the off the car quickly stalled out. This morning the car started up, although seemed slow to turn over and the brake lights and such are still on. The car is all stock, the only work I have done on it is an oil change and a new fuel filter after I noticed these problems. Any help is appreciated.
