I'm calling my dealer first thing this mondaystereoca wrote:Was borwsing the Nissan Canada website today as I'm considering purchasing the Altima Coupe. Noticed they just posted what they call the Fair Deal Program to bring their prices to what U.S. buyers would pay. Here's the link: http://www.nissan.ca/en/buying...t.asp
Apparently you can get $4000 cash back if you buy the 3.5 A/C.
Does anybody know the details of this like if a trade in is needed or something?
They give $2000 for the 2.5SHIFT_2.5S wrote:Sounds like a very nice incentive, if it's true. Is it only for the 3.5? Even so, I think with this, Nissan can entice more people to buy the A/C and will increase their Canadian sales figures.
Can you get this if you already bought your coupe? bembol - let me know if you can get dixie-401 nissan to refund you any money...bembol wrote:Sweet. I hope they can do something for us. We picked up two Coupes (2.5S & 3.5).
Better than nothing.MagicM wrote:4000 still isn't enough
Ya.. the 3.5 in Canada will still be about $2000 more expensive compared to USA. However, I don't know if the warranty on USA Nissan vehicles apply if you IMPORT the vehicle to Canada, I know there are many manufacturers that don't honor the USA warranty once exported out of the country. If that's the case with Nissan, I'll pay the extra $2000 to get that peace of mind knowing my A/C is covered under warranty.MagicM wrote:That is Very true. But compared to getting it from USA and bringing it up, it doesn't match.
Thats not true, cause the IPOD is an example, since iphone was 800 or something and the price dropped to 500 they gave a 2-300 cash back tho those who paid original pricestereoca wrote:I'm guessing that for those that have already purchased the A/C in Canada and all the paperwork has been finanlized before the this Fair Deal program, you WON'T be getting anything back. That's just the way it is any product you buy from stores that don't have some sort of price protection policy, even then, if the price drops on something you buy after your price protection policy has expired, there's nothing you can do. My brother had purchased a truck last year and is financing it for something like 3% which he thought was a good deal, the following week they were offering 0% financing plust some extra options, it was too late to get it changed, but at the time he still thought it was a good deal so he just accepted it. Don't get me wrong, I hope dealers can do something for you guys that had purchased the coupe already but how far back do they go giving refunds to people? there has to be a cutoff at some point and those that get cutoff right before that point won't be happy.
I really hope Olympio/401-Dixie play nice, we picked our Coupes just over a month ago.hangtime23 wrote:

I'm hoping I might be able to get something back, since I'm on a lease, and haven't paid out the full amount yet...so maybe they can deduct something off of my buyback price.bembol wrote:

We're not expecting them to hand us back $6k. LOL
Reverse psychology... I have no comment.rsottawa wrote: So I pressed her a little more and she says "well... if we raised the price would you be willing paying us the difference after your purchase."
Damn, that was a good response on her part.....rsottawa wrote:I called Nissan Canada, I asked if they had any program to compensate ppl who have recently purchased their cars. She proceeded to put me on hold for 10min and when she came back she says I should call my dealer. Looks like Nissan is taking a page from the Apple IPhone price reduction.
