I got the z32 calipers for my wifes car off ebay for $50 plus shipping. Needed a good cleaning and the hardware kit. But looking at what people want for those calipers now, its was a real bargin.

You want new ones becuase the ones you have look ugly? Why not just paint them.

yea that 50 dollar deal is a great deal... hard to find deals like that these days.

Just like mentioned above... if your calipers are dirty just paint it... black if you don't want to be flashy. Calipers are going to look worn/used in matter of months depending on where you live.

I had to replace my rear calipers with a new one because the piston seal blew... after one winter its brown/orange from oxidation.

I rebuilt the calipers on my buddys s13. One of the pistons was leaking badly. I just picked up a kit from Van's autoparts with the new o-rings and used a write up from twinturbo.net to fix them. Cheaper than new calipers.

I've thought about rebuilding my calipers... How difficult is it and are there any special tools needed? I know that I can get a rebuild kit from autozone (I believe it's a rebuild kit... includes all of the gaskets?) for like 8 bucks a caliper or something...

only ones that say nissan are the z32 calipers. stock s13, s14 are plain boring slide calipers.

ive heard of people going to autozone or whreever and getting the z32 calipers and taking their old ratty 240 calipers back in as cores. i havent checked into this personally but thats an option.

and as someone said above if you want tham to look a little better then put some paint on them. it will make the calipers easier to clean if you get an open spoke wheel.
