Nissan Brake Pads

I recently started hearing a grinding noise while driving (not applying the breaks) from the front driver side brakes on my 08' Nissan Maxima. The noise seems to come and go and does not seemed to be linked to rain or driving conditions. The noise is not constant. I read some articles on line saying that Nissan is getting away from asbestos in their brake pads and could be some slight corrosion. No effect on breaking ability. Has anyone else experience this issue and if so what was your solution?
