Let me start with, sorry if you have been searching through the forums today and seen this 3 times, I am posting it in a few different areas to try to reach anyone who can help.

Firstly I need a 3rd brake light ( the one that mounts to the window) for my 2000 Nissan Pathfinder. I cant seem to find it anywhere. I think I just need the black housing case for the light but would be willing to buy a new light and housing for it if need be. where can i find one?!

Secondly, any thoughts on this- the same 2000 Nissan pathfinder has a clunk in the front, not when turning or anything like that, just when hitting pot holes or the lovely washboards we get on vermont dirt roads. I have had 2 bushings replace and my front shocks, which made it go away for a year or so, but now it is back and my mechanic looked at it and said he doesnt know what it is. Its not loud and scary, but persistant and annoying, any thoughts?! Thanks!

thanksI am new to the whole forum thing- is there a way i can look up this holidaze person and e-mail him or something?

ill check on the sway bar links. It sounds familiar so maybe they replaced that too a while ago, or maybe some told me thats what it could be, i will have my mechanic check his books and see if he has done that or not.thanks again

Also, here's a link for a new one from CourtesyParts, it's only $17.44 for the black housing...

http://www.courtesyparts.com/kb_search_ ... _4739_4755

Just copy and paste that one into your browser, the URL code isn't working for this link.

thanks-the diagram is confusing- is that 18 bucks only for the black part or for everything? Looking at the diagram I think I will need the light part to, as I broke off the side mounts that you screw threw, I was hoping the black housing would of had the mounts too, but it looks like it doesnt.

The black trim piece is $17.44 by itself. That part number is 26598-R50001.

The black trim piece screws into the reflector housing with two screws. The reflector housing is what actually holds the entire third brake light assembly to the rear window. Unfortunately they do not sell the reflector housing separately, so you would have to purchase the entire brake light assembly.

The entire assembly, without the black trim piece, is $77.95. That part number is 26590-R50001.

So the entire third brake light assembly which would include a new wiring harness, new reflector housing, new black trim piece, five bulbs and a new lens will cost $95.39 plus shipping. NOTE: New screws, grommets and nuts are not included.

Your better route may be to try to repair the assembly you have, or try the used parts market. As Qxxx4 mentioned, you may be able to find the part you need on the forums for cheap.
