If you have stock 240sx brake calipers and stock brake lines pick up a set of 8 copper washers (2 per wheel) if you ever take the calipers off (for painting, repair, etc).

Our cars are getting older so if you ever remove the caliper, spend $3.04 at your local Nissan dealer for a the complete "gasket brake hose set" of washers. Don't re-use them!

Part number is 46237-A4600 at your Nissan dealer.

I took off my calipers to paint them and do a complete brake job anyway- good thing I did as I noticed the left rear caliper had thicker brake pad material than the right rear caliper; the left caliper's piston was stuck. I removed the dust boot and took the caliper apart rather than buy a re-manufactured one.

Nissan no longer sells just the dust boot and piston gasket- you have to buy a re-manufactured unit. Many auto parts places do sell just the gaskets for $2-$12.
