Hey everyone... would love it if anyone would be able to help...

My car has been overheating heaps lately and spewing water out after only driving no longer than 10 minutes... usually its pretty good. my car sometimes spews water out but from the coolant bottles overflow pipe

my car is a 1991 bluebird hatchback, made in OZ and brought over here to NZ back in 1995 I think...

After using this site last night I'm pretty sure my radiator is fine...and that my radiator hoses are fine too.. I really want to know whats wrong with my car...even though shes old and doesnt like going up the kaimais and any other huge hills, shes pretty reliable, and I love her to bits.

I nearly went so far as jacking the car up to "burp" her but didnt have any time to do so this morning...

When I got home tonight, I finally saw the place the water is possibly coming from. I had initially thought it could have been either: the thermostat, the radiator or the hoses...

now though, I'm pretty sure its coming from a leak in a pipe at the very bottom of the engine... its got a silver metal ring around it. its either from that directly or from somewhere above it dripping down which cant be very far from the actual engine motor.

does anyone have any idea what this pipe could be? my mum reckons its the water pump...but from looking at the images on google...none of the water pumps look anything like theyre from my engine haha.

so! if you could help I would be extremely thankful.. I just really dont want to take it in to a mechanic if its something minor and I can fix it myself.

so if anyones got suggestions that would be awesome. thanks heaps, allie

oh! forgot to say before that when its spewing water it makes a steam engine kind of noise? as if its sucking in air while leaking the water...
