Stopped by at the Detroit auto show today.

Lincoln debuted the Continental.
Volvo had the XC90 and S90.
Buick had the Avista and new Lacrosse.
Cadillac had the XT5 and CT6.
MB brought back Maybach and debuted the new E-class (both hideous).
Lexus showed off the LC coupe.
Fiat brought the Miata-based 124, 4C, and Giulia.

Even lowly Acura showcased a beautiful concept sedan and the new NSX.

As for Nissan and Infiniti? NO ONE CARED. They were sad displays of bland nothingness. Who the hell is running these brands? Infiniti, especially, is completely pointless, meaningless, and brings nothing to the table in an increasingly crowded luxury market.

No way. Cadillac will sell me a RWD twin turbo with a carbon fiber hood, an actual manual transmission with six speeds, flat shift and launch control. Yes please.

Even the automatic is 8 speeds. Yes, Nissan, no CVT. Cadillac is pretty much the only American car that interests me other than the sickest of the sick model Corvette, the new coyote 5.0 Mustang or the Tesla.

And there's a rumor that the ATS-V+ will have the LS7 under the hood because yes absolutely do that.

My post was a subtle jab at my Arch Nemesis, Johan De Nysschen and the fact that he refuses to leave any of my favorite brands untarnished by his singleminded insanity.
