Top Class Actions viewers have reported receiving Nissan Altima settlement checks worth as much as $1,100.

Those who received settlement checks included all U.S. residents who are a current or former owner or lessee of a model year 2013 through 2016 Nissan Altima with a continuously variable transmission (also called a CVT).

Does anyone know if there are any defects with the Sentra since it has CVT transmission, or if there is a similar class action for Sentra owners? I have a 2012 Sentra.

The class action CVT settlement involves the following vehicles: 2013 through 2017 Nissan Sentra

Defective Nissan Transmissions – Nissan CVT Transmission Class Action Settlement
Continuously variable transmissions are used in many Nissan models dating back to the 2012 model years including the widely popular Sentra, the Versa Note, Versa, Altima, and Juke. Because of all these issues and a mass uproar on the part of consumers, Nissan has extended the manufacturer warranty on some of these vehicles from 5 years / 60,000 miles to 10 years / 120,000 miles.

Class action lawsuits were filed against Nissan regarding the faulty CVT transmission systems. Representatives of the class action and Nissan have reached a settlement regarding the manufacturer’s problematic transmission. The class action CVT settlement involves the following vehicles:

– 2013 through 2017 Nissan Sentra
– 2012 through 2017 Nissan Versa
– 2014 through 2017 Nissan Versa Notes
– 2013 through 2016 Nissan Altima
– 2013 through 2017 Nissan Juke
