^^ Start a Project thread and ask everyone questions. I know just about everything 240sx related. There are writeup and threads on some sites I can direct you too.

Any updates on this beast?

Yes, I have finished cutting the oil pans. Modified the sump to fit the new pan. Megasquirt completed. Bought the new starter, Alternator, and 550cc injectors. Changing to a 50 trim turbo instead of a 57 trim. Welded some aluminum piping with a new mig to get practice for the IC plumbing. I will load some more photos tonight or tomorrow.

Oil pan was pretty simple, cut both the 240sx pan and Frontier pan almost in half. Weld the two together (mount on engine to jig it and tack), then cut the sump section off of the 240sx front part. Modifying the sump was pretty easy and took about 30 minutes.

I see a lot of people complaining about the headaches with modifying the sump/pan to fit (also see some say they bolt right up...yeah right) but it really is fairly easy.

Ok, update. Sorry it took so long. Anyway, I have put the engine in the truck, made a custom turbo manifold, added the intercooler, and have tuned it. I am currently loading all my photos to photo bucket with my phone so I hopefully will have a write-up and photos done tod/tom.

The truck (again)

And the motor build (again).

great build! a real project :) im thinking about converting my z24 engine in my 85 KC 720 to a CA18det or a sr20det. do you know if these take much fabrication to make it happen?? looking forward to seeing some more pictures as she progresses :)

Right now I'm doing a SR20 conversion in mine. Will post progress regularly.

Been a while since I have updated this.... here is the skinny.

I have been driving the truck as my DD for a while now. Gets about 30-34 mpg hwy. Take it to the track once and a while. I have run a 8.86 with 6 lbs of boost. Stock clutch gave out so I bought a HD PP and a 6 puck which was good to about 285trq... I said "was". I couldnt stay at 6lbs and put in another wastgate for 10lbs. Clutch slips bad so now I ordered a stage 4 good for about 380trq. Found a fairly new head so I pported the crap out of it and am looking to get some 550cc's so I can up the boost to around 15-20lbs. Currently it said 254trq at the wheels but clutch gave out and couldnt get a good pull. Will be posting more picks of the head and truck shortly (next week). I will get some vids of it at the track.

No problems so far with the axle or drive shaft so no plans to alter them yet.

It wasnt hard. Its actually a mess atm....havent harnessed it up since I have more stuff to add...but as far as wiring in the AEM it wasnt difficult.

I am building another ECU for it with an adapter to plug directly into the AEM harness.
