Hello, I know this is an infinti forum but since the car I have is basically identical I was wondering if anyone can offer any advice.

I live in Singapore and I am about to take delivery of a Nissan 370GT, the problem is this car is made for the japan market only and all the language for the onboard display and so forth is in Japanese. i can confirm there is no langauge option as this designed for sale only in Japan. Some of the GTR's and other imported Japan models have the same langauge issue

So, is there an option to run some basic G37 software? I dont need the GPS. Just basic FM radio and to read other features in English

Just trying my luck thanks for any advice you can give.

If you go to Google and search for 2008 G37 Owner's Manual, it'll bring you to Infiniti's website and you can download an English version of it. As for the software for the car, I have no clue. If you can, I would call corporate Infiniti in either Japan or the US to see if you could change it over to English.

I would imagine the answer would be no, you can't. The head unit and stereo software for the car are region specific, not only because of language but because of stereo frequencies as well. You may be able to swap out the stereo, A/C control unit, and possibly monitor for an english system, but I don't think it's anything you can fix with software.

Welcome to Nico

What I woud of done if I were you to ask the Japanese dealer who sold you the car to take care of it. If they need your business they can probably do it lot easier.

Here in Canada we have 3 languages available to the G. You can switch on the screen. Spanish, French and English. Europian infiniti's going to have even more languages for sure. I'd say German, Russian and maybe few more. I don't think Nissan is that stupid to make it special for each country. Not cost effective at all. Should be just a software update. I would imagine it is possible. Only matter of finding the right place and the right person.

We have a regional forum with quite a few members from Japan. Maybe they can help you out with this. Try to post there too.

If nothing else try a japanese nissan forum or Nissan HQ Japan. I am sure you are not alone with this situation.

Here is our regional forum.

Good luck. If you have any info please get back to us with it. So we can help others also.

Andy might can help you too. He is located in Australia and I believe his car is from Japan. Not sure tho. You might want to pm him.

Here is his profile.http://forums.g35club.org/zero...55933

Cheers from Canada.
