The SatNav unit for our Nissans are deeply integrated with the computer system electronics. The various units talks to each other via a LAN computer network talking in a code called CANBUS. You are missing a control panel which is a combination of switches. The control panel ends up talking to a radio receiver ( the one you are missing ) and receiver in turns talks to the SatNav unit.
At least that's my understanding. I went through the same exercise trying to retrofit a nav system into my 2002 Infiniti Q45.
When my wife bought a 2006 350Z without Nav last year, I ended up buying a 7" screen DVD/Radio/Nav unit from EONON for $245. I selected their unit because they are a licensed user of Sygic Nav software (not a boot legged copy). They also had an interface that coupled to the steering wheel controls for the radio. Scosche sells a Nissan Radio Connector and a compatible radio bezel to complete the installation.
As a bonus, I bought a cheap rear view TV camera that interfaced as well. The EONON unit comes with a generic wire harness that I matched to the Scosche Nissan radio connector. The only hack of the factory wiring needed was for the steering wheel controls where I cut and spliced in bullet connectors so I could return everything to stock should I decide to keep the EONON unit when I sell the car.
