So my friend owns a stock nissan 350z and he plans on doing bigger cams and possibly bore his engine. Would he need a piggyback or maybe a standalone? or will a tune be enough? thanks in advance!

osiris will run it fine, the advantage that the stand alones/piggy backs have is additional safety features. i can tell you right now if he is "possibly" boring his engine and isnt doing a full build with a large supercharger and custom pulley setup(8 rib) or large turbo kit he either isnt making enough power or he is wasting his time trying to stay NA because he enjoys throwing money down the drain.

stock cams and bore on a used vortech with make more on a 20-30k NA engine build for far cheaper, then if you go NA then you really dont need cams until massive power levels i would say over 900 if your using a billet turbo 550-600ish if your not.(billet turbos like higher boost pressure to take advantage of the increased area in the center section so if you make the same power at a lower boost you arnt getting the advantage of billet.)
