Hi guys. Zx owner here. So im having 3 issues with my car that id like to touch on. The car runs fine so not affecting the car but kinda curious from all you ZX experts.

1) my radiator fan blows when i turn on the car. So when the car is on, it starts blowing. From my understanding. Its only suppose to go on only when the A/C is on. Also when i rev the car, the fan seems to blow even harder. So by the looks of it. It spins based on its rpm. Any suggestions on this?

2) oil pressure gauge? So when the car is cold it moves to 60psi, when i turn it on and works as i drive. However if the car is warm and i run it, it stays at 0psi. Im sure its suppose to move a bit?

3) fuel gauge only reads half a tank and higher. After half a tank. Gauge moves all around and sometimes way passed the Empty sign. Any suggestions on this?

Thanks for all the help.

1. Are you referring to the AUX fan in front of the radiator or the manual (clutched) fan attached to the engine?
2. Oil pressure sender/gauge on the Z32 is notorious for giving bad readings, if you are worried about a possible oil pressure problem I would highly recommend installing an aftermarket sensor and gauge.
3. Sounds like a bad sender unit, only way I could think of checking is getting inside the tank and testing the outputs on the sender while fluctuating the level by hand.

1) its the one between the radiator and the engine. Big fan attached to the radiator i believe. Pretty big so it could be the clutch fan? The more i rev it, the harder it spins. Idk why its on when the AC is off

2)any brands you recommend that are good?

3) will test it out. Might get a new fuel pump. If thats the case do you know any good brands for the ZX?

Thanks for the response

1) The blade is connected to the fan clutch, then to the water pump which is driven by a belt from the crank pulley.

3) Check the sending unit to see if it is operational. I would advise against buying a fuel pump let alone any part before you fully diagnose and figure out the problem. Buying parts whithout knowing what caused the issue can become very expensive.

Alrighty ill check the fuel pump

Im a bit confused with what you said for the fan though. What exactly am I looking for in order to test how to get it to work? That fan is loud as hell when im at 3000-4000rpm

1. the fan is a manual clutch fan, it is connected to your engine and spins when the engine is on, it doesn't have a separate electric motor powering it, it is always spinning. To check your clutch fan is pretty easy, search the site for "testing fan clutch" and you should come up with quite a few how tos.

2. AEM, Defi, Prosport,Autometer, etc. depends on your budget. I would go for a high end electronic unit such as Defi or at least Prosport.

3. The fuel pump is not integral to the sending unit, the pump and sender share a cradle but the pump itself is separate, sold separately, and operates separately from the sender, go through the troubleshooting before throwing money at stuff.
