i bought a nissan 300zx 7 months ago and love it and about 4 months ago i took it to my mechanic because the engine light was on and he fixed it he also did something else he for some reason wired up the aux fan that is underneath the nose panel so its always on as long as the key is turned ( one of his mechanics did this and since quit so they didint know how i could turn it off because i wanted it off because its super loud and annoying )

i opened the hood and took off the fuse box cover located on the drivers side of the engine bay i noticed two aftermarket wires (aka speaker wire looking things)

i pulled one out and like magic the aux fan turned off so i tried to turn the car on to see if there was any issues and there was one issue i dont think this relates but by the gas tank there is a loud noise when the key is turned to the ON position ( i think its the fuel pump or hicas) but the big problem was it gave me a code and it was running rough and a weird diffrent noise started to come from the back... The code is P0115 So i decied to put the wire back where i found it but i totally forgot where it was as i was doing this at 5 am in the morning

theres a second wire that looksthe same hooked up to a relay so i tried putting the wire there and it blew a fuse

i need help putting the wire back where i got it as i dont know anything about electrical stuff so can someone please help

If your mechanic just stuck the two wires in the relay socket you should find a new mechanic because that is some bunk @#$ $%^&. Without knowing what exactly is done under your hood no one is going to be able to tell you how to fix it, you need to trace the wires and figure out what carnage your so called mechanic caused.

Dude did some jank wiring. The code is for the engine coolant temp sensor. That being bad can cause a multitude of issues, including rough running and even no starts.

As far as that wire goes, I have a feeling he just stuck it in under the prongs of that relay.

I also like the fact that it is a Kia relay. But that's the air conditioner relay. You more than likely blew the fuse because you put one wire on the relay power wire and one on the load side, making the fuse take the entire load of the system.

Kudos for coming up with a way to address this...I just had to move on, too much  for me...

where can i plug in the wires then without blowing the fuse and making it work?

No one can tell you that, you could possibly even blow the computer out if you mess with it enough. You were supposed to be smart enough to know EXACTLY where they came from or don't touch them. The wires need to be positively sourced and then someone with enough intelligence to know what he is doing will have to fix it meaning $$$$$$$$$$$$.

I 'jank' wires like that all day long and the mods last for years, you just have to have some intelligence behind it. One certainly does not simply start sticking wires where he thinks they look like they go.
