WD: Ya but this is like way less work, its just stock comp (for all I know) and no mixing of fuels. I meant like comparable KAT, this honda looks like it has just like the equivalent of any avg KA turbo kit.
It doesnt really matter if an engine makes its power higher in the rpm band, i mean when you race you would shift up there anyway and it would only fall back like 1-2K and go up again. Its all relative. The launch maybe different or something, but other than that its really not as weird or bad and you may think.
I would KILL for a Caterham Super7 R500, 230@8600, 155lbs/ft@7200 redline 9200rpm NA 1.8L I4 hp in a VERY light body (roughly 1030lbs).
0-30 in 1.6sec, 0-60 is something like 3.4sec, 0-100-0 in 11.44sec, in some tests its faster than a McLaren F1. I realize this speed is achived with a combination of a very light curb weight as well as the engine output, but still...whats so bad about high revving, small displacement engines again?
