Here is the story guys. The car (nissan 240sx 1989) was parked outdoors for 3 months and as some of you know it is winter outside , especially in toronto (canada) . The problem is ... i started the engine (and it started right away) and while the car was idling the rpm jumped from 700 to 1200-500 and back to 700 and the cycle continued . The transmission is automatic . DOes it need an oil change or a sparkpug change ? Please help!=)

You'll probably just need to do all of your routine maintenance that you would do, since the car has been sitting for a while. Some of these things are: Replace the spark plugs, replace the spark plug wires, check the fuel injectors and clean or replace them, replace the PCV Valve, replace your O2 sensor, replace your air filter, check all of your sensors to make sure they aren't loose or dirty or damaged (a loose throttle position sensor might cause the idle to fluctuate), change your oil, check all of your other fluids (transmission fluid, Radiator fluid, Anti-freeze, etc.), make sure you don't have any major fluid leaks. That's pretty much it, i guess. And if none of that works hit us up again. (It could be your timing)

My mechanic said that it might be an electrical problem (but i am still not sure what exactly he meant by that...) . Thank you for your advices . I will try to do everything you recommended and we'll see .
