Nissan 240SX SR20DET AL Radiator Comparison-------------------------------------------

This is just a comparison between 3 options available for an AL Radiator for the S13 SR20DET--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Godspeed (Red Caps) - About $200 NewMishimoto (Black Caps) - About $180 NewKoyo (Used, and no Caps) - About $320 New

Welds and Craftsmanship-----------------------The Godspeed has decent welds, but are pretty sloppy in some areas.

The Mishimoto had the worst looking welds (but still comparable to the Godspeed), and some of the brackets were not correct (bottom mounting pin, was welded in crooked).

The Koyo has much better weld precision, and everything is in perfect location.

Tubes-----------------------The Godspeed has thin tubes, but are closer together to allow 67 total along the length of the radiator.

The Mishimoto also has thin tubes, but only has 64 tubes total, due to the larger spacing.

The Koyo's tubes have thicker openings and are packed close together to accommodate 67 total. It definitely will have the best coolant flow!

Fins-----------------------The Godspeed has tightly packed fins, that allows for more metal surface to transmit heat from the tubes, but restricts air flow more.

The Mishimoto has almost identical fin design as the Godspeed.

The Koyo has more loosely packed fins to allow more airflow, but not as much surface area for heat dissipation.

Drain Plugs-----------------------The Godspeed has a plastic coolant drain plug, with large slots. This will become brittle over time, but is easily removed.

The Mishimoto has a metal drain plug with an O-ring. It is very easy to remove, and o-rings can be replaced easily.

The Koyo has a plastic drain plug like the Godspeed, but it is designed for a plain phillips screwdriver, which strips out very easily!

Notes-----------------------The dimensions of the cores for all three radiators are all exactly the same except the Godspeed is 1/4 inch shorter from top to bottom. If I were to rank the Radiators, the Koyo would be an obvious first, with the Godspeed being second, and Mishimoto being third. The Koyo is much more expensive than the other two, but is the savings worth it?

Once the two cheaper radiators are in cars, I am going to post up info about their performance differences (if any). However, that will be at least a month from now, lol. I'll keep this post updated when I get that info though! If anyone else has info on other radiators, please post it up!

The best comparison I've seen.

Yeah, I've seen that one as well, but they didn't use these radiators (except the Koyo I believe).
