those arent the black ones though, bronze and silver arent nearly as hard to find, nor are they anywhere near as expensive, as that auction proves

ive actually heard of people getting sets for $1,800 before

They're gunmetal, not silver or bronze. It's limited edition, it's dark, I figured what the hell. Is he talking about the wheels off the Z-tune?

i did notice a slight difference, i thought they were just bronze at a funny angle

but yeah, hes talking about the ones from the z-tune, the limited edition gloss black ones, 100 sets made, cheapest ive seen a set was $3,600, most are more like 5 or 6k

i didnt even know they were making gunmetal, but from the price there it looks like its not nearly as rare as the black, not much more limited than the gold and silver, especially since the size of those is one of the z33 sizes that you can get in dealers for like $1,800 to 2k

Huh? Those are skyline sizes and if the description is correct, there's only 200 sets in circulation...seems rare to me.

All this rare, JDM, limited color and sizes stuff is too much for me anyway. I'd just get rotas, powder coat, and a Nismo sticker if I had a hard-on for those wheels. Actually, I kinda do but don't want 18's. After I found out the URAS NS-01's are cheap crap though I don't know what I'm gonna do. Oops, i'm rambling...

if theres only 200 sets thats a good price, i wonder why theyre not being priced closer to the black ones

they *can* be used on a skyline of course, but what im saying is theres certain sizes that are imported on a regular basis for use on z33's, these are one on those sizes

in other words, these arent like the 17s you want, you wouldnt have to get this size imported if you wanted a set in a normal color

also, if you can find a set, bee*r makes lmgt4 replicas, they used to have them at raretrick but i havent seen them in a while...my uncles got a black set just like the nismo's on the z-tune

No they're not man. Those are skyline sizes and been a popular skyline size for years now... Xx9.5" +(something low) on all 4 = GTR.

They make the GT4 in good 17in sizes, ask pandagarage or aspec for them.

Stop comparing the GT4 to trashcan cast POS knockoffs, NS01s? "Hey Sportmax... we might have you beat on wheel weight"

Moving on... 5000 for LMGT4s painted black is retarded.

funny that i can go to my local dealer and x9.5 +12 is one of like 6 sizes they carry the lmgt4 in, i see people all the time ordering them for their Z's

what im saying is, i know it can be used on the skyline, but obviously we dont have the skyline here...we do have the z33 though, and it is a size that can be used on the z33, you DONT have to go through raretrick or taka kaira or whatever to get 18x9.5 +12 lmgt4's in the states, you can just go to your dealer and buy them, the wheel comes in a ton of different sizes but this is one of the few thats readily available in the states and can be bought without the effort of going through an importer

summary: it is an "official" nissan size that you can just go to the dealer and pick up, it may be a skyline size but it can be used on the Z and therefore its one of a few sizes that is readily available in the states

They CAN fit a z33 but are intented to be a GTR size. That wheel's been available in that size before the z33 was even produced. I have a Rays catalog from an old set of Volks I bought that can prove that or you can go to the Rays website and see that the +12 size was made to "match" GTR calipers.

Figure out the definition for the word "compare" and then please point out where I ever compared a knock-off to an actual Nismo wheel.

My point was what you said here:
McRussellPants wrote:Moving on... 5000 for LMGT4s painted black is retarded.
The thread poster made it clear that "2k is pretty steep" for wheels.

So what does one do when they want a $2k set of wheels but can't afford them? Next best thing would be a knock-off and if he really wants them black, he can paint them and even get stickers. Right? Yes.

Now, you need to quit trying to play me out to be something I'm not. I was riding around on forged Volks and Buddy Club wheels before you even had a license. Just b/c I'm not a "ooh JDM flushness ultimate fender pull champion" fanboy doesn't mean I can't appreciate or recognize quality.

idk im really likin the volk se37k's. i know i said 2 grand was a little steep but i would be willing to shell it out for those in black, or a set of gram light 57 pro's

or i would also be interested in a set of ce28's
