I figure any hp difference between the two would be negligible, so I was wondering if anyone knew any differences in quality between the two.

Roughly, the cost is $525 for the Nismo and $817 for the Stillen from my Google search.

Thanks for any info.

I can't speak for the Nismo, but I have the Stillen. The quality is just as nice as any Stillen product. Quite nice IMO.

As far as the build quality, i havent examined any stillen ones, but i know its got a high polish throughout i believe.

The nismo doesnt have the same look (but its under the car so who cares).

No one is going to really have any part failure yet (i hope!).

As far as the SOUND is concerned, i think that the nismo is the way to go.

nismo still uses that crimped pipe that runs from resonator to mufflers. stillen has a straight pipe which allows better flow.

The Stillen is great quality and has a great sound although you have to hear it in person to appreciate it. Also, although minor I believe the Stillen has better flow and gives slightly better gains.

hes asking about the QUALITY of the piping, not its flow or gain.

Exactly. Leeparts indicates that the Nismo is mandrel bent and 303 stainless.

Stillen says aluminum or stainless - no indication of mandrel bent or not. Did indicate top side gains in power.

I went with the Nismo. My order says "pending" and I'm quite impatient by nature. Ship it already

I don't know if Stillen's is mandrel bent either, also there is no proof that bend robs HP. There is no such thing as a perfect custom exhaust. A straight through design will sacrifice driving around town torque for highway top-end. Adding in a mandral bend or 2 will re-heat the exhaust pulses and give you even more of that mid-range torque. True, you will loose a few HP on the top end but not much.Since I don't race everyday I think I'd take Nismo for the all around RPM range power.

I'd prefer the Nismo for two main reasons.

#1 Great fit, sound, and quality.#2 All around increase in power.

Sweet, thanks. Does anyone that has a 2.5 have this on their Altima? My old Sentra se-r was a 2.5 and had nismo exhaust on it and I loved it. Had a great sound to it.

For those still waiting for their 3.5 nismo, im sorry to say but get used to it......i ordered mine March 12 and it didnt get it until June 17th, if the backorder is the same as mine was.

as far as nismo vs. stillen. Definatley NISMO. ive never heard the stillen in person but it would have to be very good for me to change my mind. I instaled the nismo myself and it only took 1 hour and fit was perfect. I dont wanna sound like im downing stillen because their products are great, in fact ive got stuff on order from them right now.

but there is nothing like the purrrrr of the nismo

Nismo is just rebranded from different companies. The craftmanship of both is the same. Both exhaust materials are good, but not the best out there. You get what you pay for.
