My transmission mount doesn't really exist anymore. The bushing is completely disintegrated, causing the transmission to sit slightly cocked. The funny thing is that I haven't noticed any drivability problems. My question is this: Will the Nismo transmission mount cause any vibration compared to the stock mount and does it make the transmission sit higher? All of the topics I've read are about the motor and transmission mounts together.

I have nismo motor and transmission mounts and there is no extra vibration, and if your mount is blown out, it prob. will sit a little higher with a new one in..

I decided not to go with the Nismo mount cus I don't really need it. I searched online and found one at NAPA for $47.99. The NAPA down the road gives a 15% discount to college students since we have a large auto lab that buys parts from them, but the price they quoted me was $86 (including the discount)! They don't even have one that expensive listed on their website.

you can find the nismo trans mount for $35 + shipping if you look hard enough. I didn't feel any vibrations when I installed mine. Also to installing one is simple. Jack the car up and put it on jack stands or a lift. support the trans and raise it up a little. Take off the trans crossmember 4 17mm or 19mm bolts then the mount should be 2 12mm or 14mm bolts connected to the trans then the 2 bolts connected to the crossmember.

Wow...$35. The cheapest I found one was $45. Anyways, I had my credit card information stolen recently so I'm leery at making online purchased right now. With that in mind, I just went to Advance Autoparts and ordered the Pioneer "solid" mount. From the pic's I've seen it looks like the "solid" mount just has a 3- leg support bushing instead of the factory 2-leg.

I had all my credit/debit card info stolen a few days before christmas and had to cancel the card even though I still had it. I know the feeling it sucks.

This may be a dumb question, but forgive me because I have not seen the mount off the car...but is the bracket which attaches to the cross member suppose to be parallel with the one which attaches to the transmission? I just got my new one and as you can see in the pic, those two surfaces are not parallel. The right side is higher.
