Have any of you guys ever heard of these? I have rear struts on my s13 that look like Tokico blues, but have both Nismo and Tokico printed on them. They're non adjustable, and they aren't coilovers. Just normal struts.

Nismo sticker possibly just slaped on there? Kinda like in Joe Dirt when he thought he found an atom bomb, but it was just a septic tank with a bio-hazard sticker.

lol no, it's totally printed into the strut. I don't know how to describe it. You know how on your stock struts, NISSAN is inscribed into the strut? It's exactly like that, but it says both NISMO and TOKICO.

Hmmm. Could be old Nismo dampers. I have the latest Nismo S-Tune dampers and they are made by KYB with Nismo part numbers stamped onto the damper body. Pics?

Ah, you might be correct on that. I was comparing them to all the newer models in the Nismo product line. My camera battery grew legs and apparently walked away So I can't take pics until Monday when the new battery comes in. I thought maybe I had some cool uber rare struts lol.

The stock shocks and struts on my friend Z31 said tokico...they make stock suspension pieces for plenty of cars I believe, guess easier for nissan aswell as other companies to have a large corp design suspensions for their cars instead on in-house engineering. His had nissan and tokico imprinted on them actually so FYI prolly nothing special, didn't notice that on my stock suspension but I wasn't paying attention

If you find anything more let us know

*edit* saw you said nismo my bad...possibly they outsourced the nismo pieces from tokico...

You know most of the parts from your car is not make by the car manufacture, right? Like the "Nissan" Z32 brake caliper, it is not made by Nissan.

And yes, Nismo does not make the NISMO S13 240sx shocks and springs.

Really? Wow, that's crazy. I had no idea anyone but Nissan made the parts in my 240. I, too, did not think Nismo teamed up with Tokico to make struts for the s13. But if that was the case... how would I manage to have these Nismo/ Tokico blues on the back end end of my s13?

Edit: P.S. TimTurboZ, you have an AWESOME sig picture

Nismo hardly makes anything in house, most all their performance parts are from different manufacturers.

On the Nismo frontier trucks the suspension is Bilstein which funny enough is German.

The Japs love Nardi steering wheels, Nardi is Italian.

Factory 240SX seatbelts are made by Takata. Ect. Ect.

Are they red or gray? Years ago I had some front struts from a clip that were Nismo made by Tokico and they were red. There's a ton of old school Nismo stuff that no one knows about. BTW I have old school Nismo steering wheel and shift knob for sale.

So Nissan makes spark plugs with the same NGK part number? No.The turbos used by Nissan are not made by Nissan too. We all know who made them. Same thing goes for the transmission (the new GTR at lest).

It is as simple as HP does not make every parts for their own computer.
