anyone running a nismo thermostat on their sr? any problems? i want to replace my thermostat and waterpump, but i ran across the nismo thermostat which is said to open at 144 degrees. is that bad for the sr? i'd imagine it'd take a hella lot long to warm up, but would operating tempurature be the same? i'm guessing operating temp would be lower. if it's lower, then the idle would be higher, but is it alright for the sr to have a lower operating tempurature?

Nismo thermostat opens at a lower temperature than all other brands of thermostat, giving you better cooling before it gets too hot especially with a turbo. Goes well with a Koyo alum. radiator.

I havent installed mine, but it doesnt take too long, especially if you have your engine out. I do recommend it. My friend told me how good it is from past knowledge. It opens up at a lower tempurature than other thermostats which sums to having a lower temperature prolong and not getting too hot. Buy a Koyo radiator if you haven't off Marty T (injectedpower cheapest you will find it) and a thermostat from either intense, phase, or injected. I plan on installing altima fans in the future; but for now when I get my car running it will just have the koyo rad and nismo therm. and I will hardly see any traffic (I know some backroads).

Just dont stay in traffic too long without a clutch or electric fan(s).

I like my Nismo thermostat..My engine all warmed up after iv been driving a while. At idle will always be at 155f -160f..And when the temps go up they come down very fast..Cause the nismo flows alot more water then the stock nissan thermo..Very nice up grade to do..And no your car will not idle high..My is at 800rpm with a nismo thermo..
