Does Nismo make a thermostat for the sohc ka s13? So far the only ones I've come across are for 91-93. If they dont, can anyone recommend a decent racing thermostat for this car.

Thanks

It should be the same, but why do you want it? You are just going to kill MPG without an appreciable performance increase, by throwing your car in open loop. And in Cali no less, you will never pass emissions that way. Try a bigger radiator if you are overheating. If you still want to try the new thermo, Stant should have one (available at, oh what the hell do you guys have, CSK or Parts America). Or you can drill a hole in your stocker.

Emmisions isn't a concern for me, and the reason why I wanted a new thermostat is because I bought a new koyo radiotor for when I do summer events at willow springs raceway. Im sure it wouldnt hurt to replace a 15 year old thermostat. Thanks for the reply

No you are probably right, as long as you bleed the coolant properly, it will not hurt anything. Usually parts stores offer thermos in more than one temp, so try there first. Afterall, you can just tell everyone it is a Nismo, if it does the same thing for 7 bux instead of 70.

So I got the nismo thermostat, and it fits in the sohc. So to answer anyones question the nismo thermostat fits sohc ka, dohc ka, and sr. The car warms up in 1 min, and the temp gauge sits half way and never moves. The car absolutely loves the new radiator.
