Anyone purchase a Nismo Thermostat yet... I figured since I 'm gonna change out my radiator, I'll buy the thermostat and hoses as well... see any advantages?

Theres not going to be much of a differents unless your really driving the car hard and somthing like that. New hoses are always nice, the Nismo thermostat opens a little earlier. The regular thermostat opens at 76 degree C, nismo thermostat opens at 65 degree C for better cooling. Results in at least 5 degrees C lower at full throttle acceleration.

I don't recommend a lower temp thermostat unless you're racing or something. Several emissions components require certain levels of engine temp to function properly, you will end up producing more emissions, most likely use more fuel, and cause many other problems too. 11 degrees Celsius is a 20 degree Fahrenheit difference. That's a lot when the motor is designed to operate at a certain temp.

From what I hear, if you run the Nismo Thermostat, you should replace the clutch fan with an electic fan so the engine will full warm up. I have one at home, but I don't plan on installing it until I have the electic fans to go with it (and a Koyo/hoses/etc.).

You should be fine running the Nismo thermostat. If you decide against it, at least get an OEM nissan thermostat for ease of installation/confidence in the part.

I work at Napa and have installed one of our thermostats, and they are obviously not as well designed for our cars. I mean, they work, and are cheap, but OEM therms are not that expensive.

As stated above, you wont notice a difference between the two unless you are doing some serious driving.
