Highly doubt it's the wheels being out of balance, considering I just had them mounted and balanced on Sunday.Slappy wrote:I highly doubt its the Tension rods since they were fine before. You prolly have wheels that are out of balance.
Rims are brand new. And the tires were balanced twice, when I changed out tires. I am planning on getting under the car this weekend and do some investigating.nissans13240sx wrote:you sure your rims arent bent? how about tie rod ends do they have any play? Maybe whoever balanced them balanced them incorrectly... just some suggestions.
Today I bent one of the 8.5"ers when I hit a pothole. When I put the spare on, I took off the 5mm spacer and when I drove off the shaking stopped. When I got home I put on the 7.5"er that I have, without the spacer, and still no shaking. So, outta curiosity, I put the spacer back on and the shaking started again. So, the whole time the shaking had been caused be a poorly made 5mm spacer! Guess U were partly right. The bad part is that now, I gotta order a WHOLE NEW RIM !!! On the lighter side; at least the tire is OK.Slappy wrote:I was just being helpful smartass.
Its best to check the basics 1st before you spend money on parts.
What condition are your TR bushings in? Hows your alignment? Now , im just trying to help , so dont bite my head off.
Have an alignment done and check all of the suspension parts. My bet would be old bushings.I wana 240sx wrote:hi, Im new to 240sx. I got a zenkei 95 base. When I drive fast or hit a bump.
