A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

So i'm not to sure if this topic has been beaten to death or not..... but i'm new so forgive me if it has been

Does any one know anything about if Nismo will be putting out parts for the B16 SE R?

Also will ANY of the parts for the B15 fit on the B16?

I have tried talking to the Nissan dealerships around the city and they give me the run around. It also seems Nismo is very secretive about what they will be or will not be releasing.

If this topic has already been posted can some one give me the link?

nismo already pretty much said they aren't developing anything for the b16 platform, at least perfomance wise. I mean you could get a shifter or oil cap, but that doesn't do anything.

they gotta cater to the 370s nowadays, they probably figure if you're going for an economic low cost car like the sentra you probably aren't going to spend more money buying parts either. I've seen a b16 with a nismo exhaust though..

Fair enough, I figured they would considering the amount of people that get into entry level cars and putting everything they can get their hand on in it.

There are a lot more moded Civics in my city then ANYONE putting ANYTHING in a 370

Top flight was it from the B15?

i dont know if it was a b15 exhaust.. if nobody else is finding a b16 performance exhaust (which should be easy to find) then im guessing it wasn't made for the b16. he did say "custom nismo exhaust". Check it out on cardomain.com, it's #1 in the b16s (chuy's).
and your right, i'm noticing the hondas got a sh1tload of mods out, kind of makes me wish i got a civic... actually neh i like my sentra.. i think

Pretty much.

The parts guy at my dealer basically said that since the nismo stuff like the type r intake doesnt have a warranty and is sold as is when new that they no longer want to fool with that stuff, or the b16 sentra and are focusing more on the freaking trucks...

there are nismo parts for the altima (also qr25) which has an ser version... which is unfortunetly only a slapshift =[

I was the only b16 spec v to my(correct me if i am wrong) knowledge at the Summer ImportAlliance meet.
going by numbers civic si = spec v. there were more new model si's with exhaust and wheels and all kinds of crap than a ten guys could shake sticks at.

I was there and so were at least 3 others that i know of Saturday. Is yours blue with a custom grill?

The b16 has aftermarket, you just have to look hard lol. Nothing compared to honda of course, but we are more excusive. There are many ppl that mod them, just not on here. Ppl have done just about everything you can think of to them except for an engine swap(at least not that i know of), so dont be discouraged.

Nismo has basically nothing useful.

Anything! I was told (by the parts guy at my nissan dealership) to expect pretty much the same parts as they did for the last generation:

Suspension Strut and spring set
Stabilizers
Cold Air Intake

Currently Nissan is only listing Nismo parts for the Altima, Z and its trucks on their site. :squint:

actually just an oil cap...(unless one of the more basic trims) the b16 spec v has a shift lockout for reverse (really convenient placement for when needing to back up) so there is only like 2 aftermarket shifters for it.

I was the one without a grill at all haha.
there was a blue SER there with a cmod grill who is sort of a buddy but I believe he just traded it for another car because of insurance... and he didnt even offer me his grill or his lowering springs... he got his name brand springs for 50$ with shipping... him making a profit would still have me making a GREAT deal. there was also aser/SE/2.0s who is also a local with a cmod grill also (a she =])I only was there saturday and didnt get to park at the nico club area either.

I heare there is a BIG sentra meet here in TN the 22nd this month and by big I mean that I am pretty sure all the sentra forums are in on it and its been planned quite a bit ahead, pretty sure 50-100 have confirmed =]

Not knockin the Nissan parts guys, but they know about as much as the highschool kids slinging parts at the local autostore. They can only tell you what shows up in the computer. No how, No way they will "Research" aftermarket parts, only whats with the Nismo line. Most of that will be like it was said a shifter, key fob or apparel.
You'll have better luck with aftermarket parts, and it'll take research and creativity because it may take something for a diffrent model vehicle, motor, etc. and may even require some modification.

NissanXEPIlot is pretty much right. What I am going to do with my Spec V is wait until the warranty expires, then go to the Stillen website for parts. They have more stuff there for the 07-present Spec V than most sites that I am aware of.
