So recently my valve body on my '14 370Z touring went out leaving the recent GAT event.

Replacing and programming the valve body for my transmission is pretty expensive so I’m wanting to swap the transmission altogether and I was wondering if a 16-17 NISMO Auto transmission would be something I can do.

I've done research and it seems like it would bolt up like a base transmission but in some cases the wiring connection may need adapters.

Has anyone done this?
Anyway I can see what needs adjusting?
Would I need an ECU tune/reprogram?
Any information about this would help!

On its face, there shouldn't be issues at all. They're both RE7R01A's and I don't see any differences in the electrical hookups. Some wire colors differ, but nothing functional that would affect operation. If there are differences electrically or mechanically, they're internal or in software. Since the TCM is part of the Valve Body, that shouldn't be a problem unless there are differences between the '14 and '17 CAN structures which would affect other ECU's. Plugging it in to see if anybody has objections is probably the only way to determine that.
