nismo solid shifter

what up. I just have a simple question to ask you guys. I have the stock shifter and i hat it!! So I what to buy a Nismo solid shifter for my 1998 240sx but i don't know if it will fit? I wrote to the web site (japanparts.com) to see if it would fit but they said the Nismo shifter is only made for the sr20 engine and i have the stock ka24 engine. Will I still be able to install it to the trany or not? I'd appreciate it if you guys can answers or give me some options. Thanks a lot.

Nismo makes a shrt shifterfr the KA transmission... not sure where you can get one.... maybe the Nissan parts counter.

B&M, OBX, and C's all make short shifters for the KA transmission. There are several threads about short shifters. If you want to find opinions on each and make your own educated decision, search using the key words 'short shifter'.

I don't have one yet, otherwise I'd try to help more.... sorry

I was under the impression that the transmission we get is the same as the transmission that is on the S13 and S14 Silvia. If that's true, then the shifter that *only* works on an SR20 would fit fine into your S14.

I personally have the nismo shifter, and it works on all s13s and s14s.The transmission housing is the same from the CA, SR and KA.. just different gearing and internals as far as I know.

I love the shifter, I paid around 150 or so for it, maybe a little more, I forget actually, i've had it for like 2 years.
